*NOTE: Bluniverse’s ability to increase mental focus and attention is maybe its greates attribute and would seem to have great efficacy in helping to mitigate symptoms of ADD

BEST USED: Bluniverse is a fantastic early Morning strain but equally suited for most any time of the day
APPEARANCE: The untrimmed version of Grow West’s Bluniverse is notably frosty looking and the light purplish- blue leaves sporadically twisting through the yellowish white trichomes creates a very nice contrasting visual to the greener parts of the buds.
But as you can tell by the photos, Bluniverse exhibits, at the risk of sounding corny, a veritable BL-universe of color.
The brilliance of the purplish blue and yellowish accents are even further saturated with less light in the exposure.*
*NOTE: There was some variation from bud to bud, but not much. I think the complexity of this strain was further saturated when I took photos with less light. I believe this is what accounts for some of the color variation in the photos.
PACKAGING:
I guess the untrimmed eighths, at least at Nirvana Center, do not come with Grow West’s normal items of ensured freshness like the complimentary tin, plastic wrapper, and Boveda pack.
I didn’t mind.
But Bluniverse is definitely pretty enough and potent enough to be taken that seriously. Next time I happen to receive it in this way, I will transfer the contents to an old Grow West tin complete with its own Boveda. To tell the truth, I went through the eighth so fast, there was no need to make the transfer this time. What does that tell you? …Yes, Bluniverse is good.
A CLOSER LOOK INSIDE…
This level of Myrcene, even at 19% THCa, will definitely make itself known…and useful.
I felt a bit more physical relaxation than I expected in fact.
The Pinene is there propelling you forward and raising your mood to a functionally distracted state of mind.
The Ocimene in this batch brought with it a decent cough upon exhaling, and in this case, and utilized every bit of the 19% potency.
Given the depth of effect of Bluniverse, I was surprised to see little evidence of a collective entourage effect. There isn’t a lot going on here, yet the high is first rate and seems to have a certain component of CBD which is not listed on the testing label.

CONCLUSION:
Bluniverse or Blue Universe as it is sometimes known, by Grow West is an earthy Indica hybrid marrying Ms. Universe X Blue Magoo. The flavor-aroma of cherries and vanilla are matched by a particularly frosty trichome coating.
Bluniverse’s focus fueled head high provides an elevated worry-free mood and significant boost in focus (courtesy of Ms. Universe) while its Blue Magoo genetics wrap the experience in a calming body high that may increase appetite but not leave you fatigued or sleepy.
THE LONG ROAD HOME (…my toke)
I was pleasantly surprise by Bluniverse.
It is one of those strains that beats to its own beat much like Durban Poison or Northern Lights. The overall tested potency holds very little worth.
These strains sets the pace and their 19% seems like 25% in most strains. It just works.
In this case the Miss Universe genetics seem to hold court in the effects realm while Blue Magoo brings some nice optics to the show.
The high seems to center around this idea that despite my many stressors, I can still focus like a laser, pushing all problems in the background.
Bluiniverse was given to me by a dear friend, who had purchased at Nirvana center, and from the first look I knew that the 19% probably wasn’t going to accurately predict my experience. And, happily, I was correct. Had I seen this strain without any taxonomy or testing labels applied, I would want to try it based on instinct. Bluniverse is a stress relieving strain and on a blind test I would probably say it sat somewhere closer to 23 or 24%.
I will definitely purchase Bluniverse again as it, along with Lemon Thai by Strane, have become my new morning / daytime favorites for stress relieving focus and a much needed elevated mood.
